Boy! Are we gonna have fun!!
If you've been to one or more of the preceding twenty-two Four Freshmen Conventions, you know what a great time everyone has. If you haven't been to one (and why on earth haven't you!?!), you really need to join us in Annapolis and find out what all the buzz is about.
For us, the Convention is all about two things:
- Hearing the great music of the Four Freshmen performed by arguably the best FF group - ever,
and
- Visiting with a few hundred like-minded fans.
We've planned this Convention to maximize both of those wishes.

U.S Naval Academy
Annapolis, Maryland
Annapolis is a great town for the FFS convention. There are two major airports within 30 miles (Washington Reagan National Airport and Baltimore Washington International Airport). And if you don't fly, Annapolis is easy to get to from I-95, U.S. Rt. 50, and both the Baltimore and Washington beltways.
We have lots going on to entertain you (beyond the music). Annapolis is home to the U.S. Naval Academy. There are walking tours of the Naval Academy, trolley tours of Annapolis, and boat tours of the Waterfront and nearby areas.
In addition to meeting and listening to the performing Freshmen, Bob Flanigan, Ross Barbour and more FF alumni will be here adding to the joy.

DoubleTree Hotel
Annapolis, Maryland
We're fortunate to have the DoubleTree Hotel as our host hotel. Not only is it a beautiful facility with a historically low room rate and free parking, but it's located just a short bus ride from downtown (buses are included in the registration price).
We're designing a really great-looking collared commemorative shirt in navy blue with the convention logo. Men's and Ladies' sizes are available to order when you register; they'll be waiting for you when you arrive in Annapolis.
Plan to arrive on Thursday, August 19th if you can. We'll have a number of Freshmen-related activities including the "113 Club" where you can load up on FF memorabilia and recordings, and the "FF Wannabe" room where we'll be singing FF charts together. If you've never heard scores of voices singing "It's a Blue World" using the FF charts led by Ross Barbour - well, it's got to be experienced! Thursday evening is our traditional Jam Session, anchored by a professional Jazz Quartet where FreshFans and FF alumni can sit in on instruments and voices. The Jam Session is always great fun.
Friday there are other FF activities and the tours mentioned above. You may schedule whichever optional tours are of interest to you. Be sure to schedule your tours so as not to conflict with any FFS sessions so you won't miss anything.
Friday night's dinner will be followed by a concert starring the Four Freshmen backed by the Brooks Tegler Jazz Ensemble. The Ensemble is a ten-piece little big band comprised of outstanding musicians with deep knowledge of big band jazz charts.
Saturday will have more FFS activities including the FFS Membership meeting where you'll get an update on the FFS and plans for the future. Saturday night's dinner music will be provided by the Brooks Tegler Jazz Quartet and will lead into the second Four Freshmen concert of the weekend.
It's going to be a wonderful two+ days of fun with our favorite singing group. The hotel has graciously extended the low room rate three days before and three days after the convention so you can spend more quality time in Annapolis. There's lots to do here and we've already put in our order for low temperature and zero humidity!
