The Twenty-first Annual Four Freshmen Convention

Atlanta, GA

August 20 - 22, 2009

"..and so, it's over...

We can't speak for everyone (well, yes we can :), but we think the FFS Convention/Reunion 2009 was one of the best ever!  Three-hundred-ninety one FreshFans joined us here in Atlanta for three days of fun and terrific music.

Our thanks to our Committee who worked so hard and so cheerfully to give everyone a great time.  Doing something like this is a "labor of love" (emphasis on "labor"!)

From the Jam Session Thursday night right through the final song on Saturday night, we had an absolute blast.

Thanks to Ray Brown and the Greg McLean Quartet for organzing the Jam Session performers and backing them up so professionally.

Thanks to the GPC Jazz Ensemble for their concert on Friday night that blew the roof off the building.  Dozens of FreshFans told me that this band was the best big band they'd heard in five years and more.

Thanks to Erich Bucholtz from Latrobe PA who ran sound for us (as he's done for the last four FFS Conventions).  Great job, Erich!  And, he captured for us the final mix from the sound board for all three nights (read on!)

Thanks to the nearly 400 Four Freshmen Society members who traveled to Atlanta to be part of what forever will be known as "The Blue Moon Convention."

And, finally, thanks so much to our heroes, The Four Freshmen, for their fantastic music.  Fifty-three tunes from the FF in three days..Heaven!

See you in Toledo next September!
